
San Jose Island makes up part of the Las Perlas Archipelago in the Pacific Ocean and is the second largest island in the archipelago in the Gulf of Panama and only 90 kilometers from the country’s capital city. You can reach this exhuberant island from Panama City on a speedboat or a plane to Contadora in about 20 minutes.
San Jose has a surface of 44 square kilometers and has 3 kilometers of beautiful and spectacular beaches. It is characterized by its wonderful coral reefs, nice temperatures and for its green vegetation that covers the whole island from the coasts to the hills. The waters of the San Jose island benefits fishing and is considered one of the best fishing spots in the world.
