  Enjoy the wonderful Antón Valley surrounded by incredible landscapes and fertile mountains.  
  To get away from the noise and heat of Panama City you should travel to the pictoresque town of Anton Valley, just a two hour drive from the city. This town is the second largest crater in the world with a diameter of 5 kilometers wide and which erupted 3 million years ago. It is a peaceful town surrounded by wonderful landscapes, fertile mountains and beautiful flowers. It is located 1 000 meters above sea level with cool temperatures and is it known as the land of eternal spring.

The arts and crafts includes hand carved pieces in wood, Panamanian hats, colorful baskets made by Wounaan women as well as other hand made materials by Kunas.

Places of interests:

Thermal Water Baths:
They are located clsoe to the Antón River with temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius. It has geological conditions in a volcanic structure with red, white and yello rocks that give the waters its color. People attribute the waters with curing arthritis, rheumatism or skin problems. There are also mud therapy which can be applied on the face and the rest of the body. You can observe a volcanic phenomenon on the land, the soil bounces like a springboard.


Chorro El Macho:
It is located on the highway of the town of La Mesa, some 500 meters from the Doña Isabel Bridge. It has a fall of 35 meters high and falls to a large natural pool. It is currently considered an ecological refuge due to its natural beauty and exhuberant vegetation that surrounds the area.

Las Mozas Waterfall:
The Mozas is a spectacular water of the Antón River which according to history there were three sisters that disobeyed their parents and went swimming in the river on a Good Friday and were petrified forever.


La Pintada Hieroglyphics:
A few minutes from the town of Valle you can find the hieroglyphics with a variety of manlife figures that has not been decoded by archeologists.

Square Trees:
The square trees beloning to the Bombacáceas genre and grow some 12 to 15 meters high. One of the tree´s characteristics is that they are totally square in the base of the trunk.

Yellow Frogs:
The yellow frogs of the Batracias species are endemic in the region. These curious creatues are yellow with black spots and are capable of jumping and climbing any surface. Some of the area´s residents believe that when one of these frogs die they turn into gold. They were imortalized by renowned writer Mark Twain in “The Gold Frog”.

The El Níspero Zoo and Botanical Garden:
You will be able to find a variety of animals and birds in the region as well as from other parts of the world. Also native plants and others that have been introduced in the area.

Note:
Arts and Crafts Market, only open on Sundays. As an opetional activity, you can carry out the Canopy Adventure. This activity is held in the area of Valle with a capacity for 20 people. We recommend moderate clothes as its height makes the temperature a bit cold.
